The Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation was honored to receive a $10,000 donation during the PGA TOUR’s prestigious Arnold Palmer Invitational as a result of the tournament’s PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge, sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron). The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge is a friendly, charity-focused contest in which tournament volunteers compete to collect the largest number of votes from supporters.

When online voting concluded during tournament week, the volunteer with the most votes had the opportunity to present a $10,000 check to Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation on behalf of Astellas Pharma US, Inc. At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, long-time tournament volunteer Alex Wulfeck from Jacksonville was named the winner after collecting more than 1,763 votes, and generously selected Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation  as the recipient of the charitable donation from a list provided by the tournament.

Wulfeck volunteered at the tournament for the first time as a greenside laser operator for the SHOTLink committee, and jumped at the opportunity to support the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation. Wulfeck had the chance to present the check to Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation during a special ceremony at the Arnie’s Arnold Palmer Invitational on Championship Sunday.

Wulfeck was incredibly excited to win the PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge and chose Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation to receive the donation because of the great work they do in the local community. He appreciated the opportunity to help make a difference for people served through Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation.
